Though it was a cloudy day but you shot the yachts with its long mast very efficiently, deep blue sky would be better for more contrast, good composition and well framing,

Hi Ike,

The masts have a graphical effect. The distance between the boats and the buildings is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details of the different boats. The cloudy sky does not hurt the output of the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Ike,

I really like your descriptive term for this, "a forest of mast's"...and as stated, an attractive subject for any photographer. The skies may have been overcast, but it doesn't take away from admiring the many details contained within this frame. Harbors/ports always seem to have so many interesting opportunities, and even without a specific point of focus, the visuals often convey the casual atmosphere. Ahhh, how would it be to own one of these beauties....I'll never know, but it's fun to dream. :) Enjoy the rest of the day. Take good care.

Hello Ike. Anyone who sees a marina may be jealous. Here, the wealthy their Stussymbole. Naturally, smaller boats find their place here. Anyway, such a port is a special eye-catcher.

marina scenes are some of my favorite type of subjects to photograph and to view.

the wind may be blowing the tops of the water a bit which gives it a bit more of a atmospheric feel.

interesting style of the buildings in the bg too, not the most creative but they certainly stand out.

best of all is the framing of the shot in the frame, well done

In every country situated near the sea one can find this combination of luxurious livings and very expensive boats. Only an intensive blue sky is missing on this picture, but we know that we can抰 have it all every day and besides this grey weather has its own attraction.

Hello Ike,

I have to agree, the tall masts and the sleek appearance of expensive yachts does excite us as photographers. It also excites us at the thought of their expense, too. I remember photographing huge yachts moored at Antibes and, although captivated by their appearance, yearned to have an invitation to look inside!
The morning was cloudy but, despite that, the images are sharp and the colours well saturated.

It looks like 'idle rich' people live in those apartment blocks at backdrop!
Thanks to you, I'm from now on more educated; I just read on Soromap about masts types, jewellery related and of course the lightness of carbon-molded pieces.
Fine depiction despite bad weather that keeps those boats on the mooring rope.

Hello Ike,

The do-nut shaped building in the bg with the hole adds interest here. Good repetition of the boats and a nice sheen and light on the fg water. Well composed with adequate breathing space for the masts. Plenty of space both left and right too which enhances the composition. The pastel colors work well here. Tfs!

nice the view of the marina as a part of the town with the modern buildings to dominating on the backdrop of the scene.The 'forest of masts' creates a beautiful optical effect.
When i visited China 8 years ago i saw buildings with a Π in the middle of them.The tour guide told us that Chinese make this king of buildings for their good happiness and to be rich.
I hope to don't belong to Chinese companies.
