Photographer's Note

This is the first kiosk in Tel-Aviv, built in 1909 on the corner of Rothschild blvd and Herzl street, at exactly 32.0629, 34.77 on the map. It was resorted in 2000.
Frankly, I pass there almost every day on the way to work, I was waiting for such a dark, gloomy winter morning, like on this Jan.17th 07:00 AM, when its lights were shining in fine contrast to the surrounding.
The black figure silhouette is merely a sign with a greeting depicted.

Hello Ike,
The kiosk is very nicely designed and actually looks quite sophisticated. It is also nicely illuminated, which makes it ideal for a photo at this time of the day. I would expect it to be crowded parts of the day, but at least it seems to have one steady customer who would be here at any time.

I think it is an attractive idea to take here every morning a cup of espresso before you hurry up to your daily work. But 07:00 AM is probably to early for the trespassing inhabitants of Tel Aviv.

Hello Ike,

You timed this well.
The warm light surrounds the kiosk and makes it look very inviting against the dark surroundings! I would definitely be drawn to it!
I like how you have cropped everything but this main feature; there are no distractions.
Though the figure is not real, he serves a purpose, giving a well placed focal point.

I am a real coffee drinker, a good cup of coffee is always welcome, my friends know that.
I drink almost always "ristretto" coffee, I know not good for my heart!

Hello Ike,
I love the lights outlining the features of the kiosk. You took this at an opportune time when the lights were still on but there was enough ambient light also to make a beautiful impression on your camera's sensor. It is interesting that local folk would remember and revere the first kiosk built in the city.

Hello Ike,
If this would be Spain, you would drink your coffee there every morning (instead of at home) before going to work.
Despite the age this kiosk looks pretty new. So it is very well maintained.
You're right that the lights and its soft tones give it a certain attraction and makes it stand out against the darker surroundings.
So next time Ike, try out their coffee :)

charming daily life scene. Nice kiosk.
It is nice to have a photographically interesting road to work. I had such situations before but now sadly I drive and in rush and with absolutely nothing interesting on my way.
Nice mood captured with sky being in almost a sunset colors and the kiosk well lit as well.

Hello Ike, Nice picture of this old kiosk. Going there very often you could choose just the right time with the first lights. Excellent light management. Funny this black figure, very intriguing. Nice place to sit on these high chairs and have something to eat or drink. Do they have tea?
