Afternoon over Ma'alot, a photo from Akko, Northern

Photographer's Note

A cell-Phone picture with a view due north towards the town of Ma'alot from the garden in front of the hotel entrance, which I showed before.

This northern town, 10km from the border to Lebanon, is a great place to start any traveling, hiking and other recreational activities when visiting the western Upper-Galilee region. There are numerous locations with interest to visit like ancient history (two Crusaders forts), nature's attractions and 15km to the seashores of the Mediterranean.

The modern town was established in 1963 through a municipal merger of the Arab town of Tarshiha and the Jewish town of Ma'alot. In 2019, the city had a population of 22,000 +/-.
History of this region population can be detected back to the late 12th century.

Only 140 km from my hometown, at 33.013, 35.285 on the map (center picture).

Hi Ike

All the fg greenery makes this shot look almost tropical! Good use of the tree branch at right to frame the city apartment blocks in the distance. Tfs!

Hello Ike,
The modern pastel coloured houses look good, at least from this distance, as they rise above the trees in the valley. The panoramic shape of the photo enhances the view and the nearest trees provide a good frame. The photo is remarkably clear and sharp.

Hello Ike,
A good view of the city in the distance among the trees. The houses are nicely lit by the bright light. The green foreground is appealing as well.

Hi Ike,
in this case it is not what but HOW you presented it. I think the blocks of flats could well pretend to be in my home town in Poland and yet the whole framing adds a touch of mystery. The light was lovely too.

Hello Ike,
A view of Ma'alot taken from the hotel garden through the dense trees is truly beautiful.
The town is like being 'wrap' with wonderful green forest.
The 'pastel' buildings look so pretty in the sunlight and the distinctive water tower rising high with pride ( when lit up at night ).
When I clicked at the map:view, I see a big lake not far from the town. That's why this town is so green.
Yeah, only 140 km from your hometown ..... ONLY you said :-)

Undoubtedly a good place to live, because if you live in one of those floors that we see in those buildings, you have in the environment a refreshing nature with all that abundance of trees, something important to me, those branches that are cut out on it are very well positioned about the skay.
Wonderful colors in soft tones, superb sharpness and splendid clarity.

This is lovely, how you have framed the town with the vegetation, showing light and shadows for a quite 3D effect.
From the visible details, this is a very modern town.
