Istanbul Trip, Day 6, Scene 9
In 1851 the first wooden pier in Emirgan was built on the land in front of the Emirgan Hamid Evvel Mosque when Şirket-i Hayriye ferries started operating on the Bosphorus. Şirket-i Hayriye purchased the land of the current location of the pier in 1900 and rebuilt it out of wood in 16x11 m size. The pier was used until March 1989. However at that time, it was demolished due to the Bosphorus coastal road improvements. In June 2001, the foundation for the reconstruction of the demolished Emirgan pier was laid, and it was put into service in November 2001.
In the background is Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, or the Second Bosphorus Bridge, as the locals call it.
Although I did not use a tripod, I tried to stabilize the camera with a monopod.

Emirgan'da ilk iskele 1851 yılında Şirket-i Hayriye vapurlarının Boğazi鏸'ne 鏰lışmaya başladığı zaman ahşap olarak Emirgan Hamid-i Evvel Camii 鰊黱deki arsaya inşa edilmiştir. Şirket-i Hayriye 1900 yılında iskelenin bug黱 bulunduğu yeri satın alarak 16x11m genişliğinde yeniden ahşap olarak inşa etmiştir. Mart 1989 tarihine kadar iskele kullanılmıştır. Ancak bu tarihte Boğazi鏸 sahil yolu d鼁enlemesi nedeniyle yıkılmıştır. Yıkılan Emirgan iskelesinin yeniden yapımı i鏸n 2001 Haziran ayında temeli atılmış ve Kasım 2001 tarihinde hizmete girmiştir.
Arka planda Fatih Sultan Mehmet K鰌r黶�, ya da yerlilerin dediği gibi İkinci Boğaz K鰌r黶� bulunmaktadır.
Bir tripod kullanmadıysam da, fotoğraf makinesini bir monopod ile sabitlemeye 鏰lıştım.

great layout of interest, superb depth and balance in this presentation of the pier in context. There's a well managed juxtaposition between the warmly lit foreground and the blue scenery in the background. The panoramic frame is very rewarding in terms of interest, dynamism and colours. Super-saturated thumbernail, Murat, and contrast between yellow light and blue, most notable on photo.
Cropped horizontally is a good decision, the allocation on picture space is wisely done.

Hi Murat,
The distance between the building and the bridge is giving depth to the composition. Using an ISO of 800, a slow shutter speed and probably a support is allowing me to see the details, the colors of the buildings and of the bridge. It also has a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

You're capturing well this scene by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the lovely pier which was lighted up the golden color and long bridge which was lighted up blue color in blue hour. It's beautiful color contrast.
