All Tied Up 1, a photo from Newfoundland, Atlantic

Photographer's Note

揂ll Tied Up� is the name of this photograph. This is one of many small boats waiting for a chance to fish. It was getting near sunset with a temperature of 3癈.
One of the reasons I took this photo was because of the reflection in the water. This was taken in scenic Quidi Vidi.
This photo was level adjusted, slightly cropped, unsharp mask, framed and saved for the web.
The scene is common in many parts of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Hi Jim.
You have done a very good composition in this picture. The reflections are wonderfull, I prefer this with the texture of water more than a perfect mirror effect. Colors are really goods. Congratulations for this work.

Love the composition! Not just because of the reflection in itself, but it isn't really clear what the boat is attached to. It's pretty well tied up for sure. Good colours, sharpness, composition. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Jim -

A simple but effective image. I too like the reflections but the bright colors of the bumpers really adds punch to this image. Exposure seems to be spot on with and appropriate DOF. The composition is also pleasing with the boat off to the right side. Well done!

Hello Jim! It better is tied up otherwise boat "gone" and no more fishing :) Lovely reflections, as you mention them. I especially like the red in these deep blue waters that almost come black. Simple and beautiful, the way I like it ... the not much. Have a great weekend, Barbara.
