Photographer's Note
Just as the title says...HOW MUCH LONGER?
When will this war end? I guess if I'm Russian i'm not allowed to call it a war.
There are so many thoughts and comments I wish to make about this War, but I think I would run out of space to write.
What Russia is doing to the people of Ukraine is unthinkable. Who's next, Poland? Maldova? Someone needs to stop Putin. I swear, if there's other Intelligent life out there and they're studying us, they would look upon the human species as savages. How many wars are currently being fought right now, look at the genocide presently & historically, what is wrong with us??
It was surprising to me, that this Tank is literally only a 5 min drive from my house. I was driving to work on a route I do not usually take, and I saw this Tank, along with a couple other War vehicles.
They're on someone's property, just sitting there, very strange - but right away I thought it would make for a good TE post.
I used a telephoto lens from outside the person's property, but of COURSE as I was taking photos he came out of his house. I got a few shots, and I'm happy with them. Luckily the man left me alone.

Hi Craig, really a surprise to find this tank near your home, and obviously the thought immediately went to the war in Ukraine. Maybe in your country you live in a more detached way, being very far away, while in Italy we have welcomed thousands of refugees, as if those who come from Africa and that Europe never wanted were not enough. Let's hope the war ends soon, too many innocent deaths and also an economic disaster for everyone. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hi Craig,
I agree with you this war is nonsense, Putine is using an excuse to attack Ukraine. The point of view is showing the details of the old thank. The colors and the sharpness are very good. Have a nice day.

Hello Craig,
That is most probably an old T-54 Russian tank, wonder about three issues here:
1. How did this one got into canada?
2. Who would own such a tank on his/her own backyard ?
3. If so, why let it rust?
Strange as you written, however attractive for a photo.
Best regards,
Ike

Hello craig
This car has two heads, one for war and killing and the other for defense. Russia uses it for the former. The facade of the workshop is well shown. Thanks for the beautiful text criticizing the war and bloodshed of defenseless people.

Hi Craig
Good to see you on TE again. More Russians are calling it an unwanted war but no where near enough. I saw that a president some where was just shot in his own office - hmmm!
A good photo of a rusty old tank.
cheers

Hello craig, Nice to see you! It is indeed very strange discovery. It seems a small private war museum. How this old tank found itself in Canada? And waht is behind it? Looks like ship.
You pose a good quiestion. How much longer will this war last? How many sufferings, unnecessery deaths it will bringe. You are very far away, but we in Poland have the reasons to fear. Poland has taken in 3,690,096 refugees. (1,512,192 of them have since returned). (data from Internet). They get places to live, often work and other help.
Best regards MAlgo

Hello Craig,
This doesn't look like the ordinary suburban garden, but who would want a rusty old tank on any kind of private property? You're lucky the owner didn't take his WW2 rifle and shoot you. Your photos are good, as photos and documents, but considering what is going on in Ukraine they're rather disturbing.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hi Craig,
I guess pretty much everybody has been asking these same questions. Anyway, militaria is a popular subject for collector, but few have space for tanks. And now doubt they cost too, even as scrap iron. You have a perfect angle to that thank. I guess that thing pointing right at you is a searchlight.

Hello Craig, we have to ask, why would anyone want to have a tank at the front of your house? Very strange! As someone has already asked, how did this tank end up in Canada?
Two good shots which sit alongside your thoughts very nicely.
Interesting notes.
Kind regards, Jean

Hello Craig,
That is a good question and indeed, it is hard to believe that there are still so many wars being fought right now. How come we still aren't able to treat each other respectfully and in a civilised way? But looking at the world as it is today, this apparently is quite a naive question. A good and clear photo of this tank, but it must be strange to encounter one so close to your house.

Hi Craig,
I see, you are indeed having a much more suitable picture to mention the war. It interesting that someone keeps an old tank like this in the garden. May be they keep it as a protection, you never know which way Russians will strike next...
Of course I pray and hope that the war will not only end but if possible I think Ukraine deserves to win. Many wars have two sides of the story, are not black and white but in this case the situation is quite clear to everyone maybe except of the heavily brainwashed Russians.
You had a great light there. I wonder whether the man was worried about your intentions..
You surely wouldn't like to steal the tank ha ha
Very well spotted,
M

Hello Craig,
Russians would glady sent this tank to the front. As we see they are already using rusted stocks and even tanks from museums. Hopefully they run out of stock soon.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Craig,
What a strange thing to casually find in Surrey, BC! I really wonder where this tank came from and how the owner got it there. It's such a random and surreal thing to find close to your home, that it's worth photographing just for the uniqueness alone. I hope you and your family are doing well. Take care!
