It felt really good to get the drone out again, I took this one and a few more, yesterday.

This is a church tower that I've been wanting to drone for quite some time, its only a few minutes from my house.

I'll post the entire church from above on another day, but for now I really wanted to focus on the little gold figure, and the mountains in the bg.

Hi Craig,drone pics are back and you know how i like these kind of views....very good capture of the top of bell tower with the golden player,it's a bit similar of the symbol of Milano,the golden Madonna on the top of Duomo cathedral,nice view of this geometric quarter too. Hello Craig,
You wouldn't like to lose control of the drone in a place like this to have it crashing into the golden figure. It's a very good composition, regardless if you had to fix it in PP. The tower is well placed and there's a very neat pattern of diagonals of grey roofs matching the sky well. The grey, pink and green circle is also very nice. There seem to be quite strict rules on drones in Sweden. I often hear reports of foreigners, most of them probably tourists who didn't know the rules, others maybe spies, who got arrested for flying in restricted zones.

Hi Craig,
You chose the perfect angle for showing this golden figure on top of a church spire. Dark blue tones of clouds and mountains give a good contrast. I see this is not in the city center although buildings are densely placed.

The drone master is back. ;-) This is a great composition. The golden statue seems to be calling out to the mountains in the background, and I like the roundabout in the foreground, too. This neighborhood looks so neat and orderly, and there are bits of greenery everywhere. Very nice!

Prominently above town, Craig, the golden statue shines against the gray sky and roof-tiles of the houses bellow.
Nicely allocated the picture space with the round pink square bellow leading the eyes to the streets on two directions. and the forest beyond.

Hi Craig,
I think this is a Mormon Temple. When I lived in LA, I lived very near a LA Temple of Mormons and I had a chat with them about a little figure on the very top. I don't remember now who it was I think it w a prophet from the Old Testament, maybe Isaiah or Ezekiel, anyway they have a prophecy which says that the prophet will come before the end of the world and will wake everyone for the judgment day. I hope I am right, I didn't check it.
It is a fabulous composition with the gold figure so well placed in the frame and also against the cloud covered mountains on the horizon.

Sensational panoramic impossible to capture if not with a drone, I love the foreground with the top of the tower and its sculptural finish, a beautiful residential neighborhood surrounded by trees and the mountains in the distance.
Both the color and the luminosity of the photo are magnificent, highlighting the beauty and sharpness of the composition.

Supposedly no one else has ever been able to get a close-up photo of this golden figure on top of the church tower.
Can you also rest your drone on top of this figure's head?
Just a crazy idea. Don't do it.
The neatly delineated rows of houses are striking to me :)

I guess this is moroni, the angel of the Mormons. excellent contrast of the golden figure against the blue landscape and the repetition of the houses. excellent.
