Mission founded in 1676 by the Jesuit priest Antonio Ore馻 to evangelize the Tarahumaras, who populated the region. Soon became one of the most important in the area, giving rise to the town.

Fond it on Google-map at 27.7836, -107.493, Pedro, the surrounding area built in same old style.
A fair distant POV chosen, which enable to see a bit from this rural town. Fine outcome on picture.

Hello Pedro,
A very nice view of the quiet square and the charming church. Also the low houses on either side are well included. The red parts and roofs stand out well from the blue sky.

Hello Pedro,
Excellent bright capture of the mission church.
The tree with its leafless winter branches makes a good foreground and doesn't obstruct anything of the view.
Nice strong contrast between the parts in the shadow and the bright upper part of the picture.

Interesting picture and write up, I love the symmetry and the inclusion of the pretty tree. Lovely the way how the high cross and brown roof hold the focus firmly there. A shot cliched by the bold colours..
