This place looks so quiet and peacefull.
This is a great composition and the sun is just at the right place to add something special to your picture.

I think the strength of the image lies in the reflection. The flare through the top of the tree in the centre of the picture creates a very bright area which I do find distracting.
Cropping just above the lower branches sticking out from the left hand tree could remove the distraction and help draw the eye to the reflections.
My only knowledge of Brooklyn comes from watching films so seeing such a peaceful landscape in the area came as a pleasant surprise.
