Photographer's Note
My frist time back to this spot in about four years. Used to come here all the time before suffring a bilateral foot drop. The dogs were very excited to get back down in the river gorge.
The Plotterkill Preserve has three large falls and many smaller falls called step falls.
This was on Aprl 13th as you can see there is still some ice at the bottom of the falls because the sun does not really get down in the narrow gorge.

Hi Tom,
I've enjoyed your shots of the falls, it's good to see this wide shot that puts the other posts into perspective.
It must have been a good day for the dogs too.

Peter

Hi Tom
The name 'Plotterkill' is very unusual. Is there a story behind it? Excellent shadow detail & well framed. Yes, I see the ice at left. Tfs!

Hello Tom,
Thin rock layers created a unique texture behind of water fall. Your capture and timing is excellent for capturing splendid movement of water while still available ices and mossy texture there. Light from top is wonderful too. Congratulations. Have a nice Sunday.

Hello Tom,
Some of my favorite shots are the rustic images you extricate from the woods. The water is left suspended in the air. Excellent composition and light management,
Warm regards,

Hi Tom,
excellent light management, lovely textures, and a great angle on these falls. Betcha them critters of yours were excited to get back down in here! Cool place, lovely and somehow mysterious at the same time, I mean... the name Plotterkill is VERY intriguing. Y'all have a great day. We've been walking a lot this past week, so today we'll chill out and have a few beers on top of doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. And possibly another few beers on top of that. LOL!!! See ya soon,
Fulvio.

Another fine one Tom, you certainly get out and about in the country side. I like the exposure as I am not a huge fan of velvet falling water. Nice color in the deep shadows. Fine work.

Hi Tom
superbe cascade qui coule sur ces rochers, très bon contrôle de la luminosité, de toute beauté.

Hi Tom
The light was well handled here as there is quite a lot of contrast between the top and bottom of the falls. A nice composition with the tree on the right and the fallen tree to frame the falls.

Hey Tom,
Looks like a beautiful spot to go trekking, walking, or just relaxing from the bustle of the city and the daily worries. Well composed, just a bit overexposed on the upper part, but hey, nothing to complain in general.
Best regards.

Hello Tom,
Waterfall photos are difficult because often the scale and the effect of the water is not well rendered. But here you reversed things and put the accent on the surroundings in dark colours. And the waterfall ? Yes, it is there as a curtain to light up things.

Paul

Hello Tom,
This wonderful image is closer to this beautiful waterfall, where it is mixed with the water running estacitas ice hanging on the rocks.
Excellent light and great details.
Best regards,
Charo
