Photographer's Note
Monument Valley, likely the place that, after the Grand Canyon, is the most photographed in Arizona. Having been closed for over a year due to the Navajo Reservation's restrictions, the 15-mile lollipop road through the valley has finally opened again, albeit with restrictions on the number of vehicles on the road (30).
I chose this image's title to reflect the Valley's use as a backdrop for many western films, the tree imitating a director's use of his hands to frame the shot for the film's next scene.
As usual, open in a new tab for the best view.
The image was cropped, auto contrast applied, and brightened slightly.

Hi Mark,
A cleverly composed photo with excellent sharpness and depth of field. The hard desert light brings out all the details, and the twisted tree in the foreground looks like something out of a Dali painting. A fantastic place to explore.
