Photographer's Note
In Monument Valley the sky dominates the vast open landscape that is only dotted with buttes. I chose the title for this photo from the squall that had just blown (literally) through and that can be seen progressing northward in the lower right of the image. An hour later the main storm hit and the sunset photo tour I had booked was washed out.
Best viewed when opened in a new tab.
Exposure adjusted, the sky's highlights reduced to keep the cloud's details, and the land subjected to Photoshop's auto-contrast.
ISO 100, f/18 @ 1/320th second, 16mm focal length
