Photographer's Note

Seligman is a census-designated place (CDP) in Yavapai County (Arizona), USA. In the 2000 census, the population amounted to 456 inhabitants.
This is a small town located along Route 66 and of which it still retains the flavor.
The city was founded in 1895, following completion of the railway which became an important port known as "Prescott Junction".
In the twenties, Seligman was also reached by Route 66, which became the main source of income for the city.
Since the seventies, following the start of construction of Interstate 40, Seligman began to be cut off, finally, to make matters worse, in 1985 the Santa Fe Railroad ceased its activities on site.
The glorious past of Seligman is still evident on the main road where they survived as the Aztec Motel, the famous Snow Cap, like the Copper Cart Caf� and 66 Road Kill and several gift shops on Route 66, as The Rusty Bolt.
The city is on the path of Route 66 and the previous Mojave Road.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers a total area of 16.5 km �.
Juan Delgadillo in 1953, with very little money available and waste wood, built the Snow Cap Drive-In, over 50 years, thanks to good food, but mainly for fun on the owner (known as the clown Route 66), became famous throughout the world

hi giuseppe,
route 66 conjures up all sorts of romantic notions of travel and adventure on the highway. your picture captures these notions perfectly. the passing bike is placed very well, the old cars, and all the items of interest as displayed by the shop fronts. and all this under a lovely blue sky. a wonderful composition with excellent sharpness and detail.

la Route 66 � uno dei miei tanti sogni e spero un giorno di realizzarlo.
Molto bello il mosso sulla motocicletta che ne fa percepire il suo movimento.
Ottima la gestione della luce e colori molto naturali.
Le auto posteggiate, mi ricordano quelle del film: "Grease" con John Travolta e Olivia Newton John.
Dovrebbero essere lo stesso tipo di auto che circola a Cuba.

Magnifica foto caro Giuseppe. L'essenza della vita on the road. L'ambientazione non poteva essere migliore con quei baracconi l� di fronte.
Il tempo di scatto mi pare azzeccatissimo perch� il motociclista � appena mosso, quel tanto per dare il senso del movimento.

Moto in corsa , auto "rosa" anni 60 e traverso un'altra vecchia e malridotta .
Da giovane dove abito vi erano militari canadesi ed americani della Nato ...e questo creava un po di States .
Un piacere aver visto questa scena ....un panning nel passato

Grandissima Route 66! Ed eccellente foto, amico mio, con quei mega-macchinoni che fanno da superbo sfondo! Bravo! E vuoi una chicca mia personale? Ero con i miei figli proprio lungo la Route 66. Ci fermiamo, ormai eravamo in Texas, per mangiare in un piccolissimo locale lungo la strada polverosa.Ex-stazione di posta. Tutto deserto attorno. Ordiniamo stufato con patate. C'era solo quello. Mentre aspettiamo, entra un cow-boy: cappellaccio e speroni. "Oh, guarda!", dico io, "Gino Paoli!".
Perch� era uguale uguale! Un sosia! E poi tutti e tre, io e i miei figli, gi� a ridere come matti!! Ricordi della Route 66...
