Blurred Action, a photo from California, West

Photographer's Note

Here is another photo from the introduction to photography class I took last semester. This is from the second assignment that we had during the semester, action shots. This one is blurred action. The project wasn抰 one of my favorites.

The location for this shot is in Corona Del Mar, on Ocean Ave. The homes here are very expensive; each has a view of the Pacific Ocean. The blurred car is a Mercedes Benz. Even though I didn抰 like the assignment, I tried to portray the theme focused on money.

So the theme was money, and the assignment was blurred action? What did your tutor say?

I like the tonality here - the low-contrast look is rather pleasant. Artistically, how about doing it the other way round - pan your shot, get the car sharp (show it's a Merc) and blur the houses?
