Photographer's Note
I have to share my excitement.
My interest in photography has been growing. Along the way, I have found myself enrolled in a black and white photography class shooting film (a break from my little digital camera). Now, I am using my dad抯 1955 4x5 Linhof Technika III. It isn抰 the top of the line Linhof, but after several months of enlarging 35mm negatives it is full on awesome (for those of you that don抰 know, the Linhof produces a negative that is 4 x 5 inches).
This is a scan of a shot I developed in my class. I am amazed at how sharp it came out. I recognize that this might not be the best shot ever, but you have to understand that I am really excited about these humongous negatives.
The car was at a hotrod show in Lakewood. Take a look at that blower, it reminds me of Mad Max.

This really begs to be done in colour - time to try your hand at hand colouring prints??
Next time you play in the darkroom try cropping out the tree branch on the left and try your hand at darkening the background especially the car on the right to make it a little less distracting.
Digital darkrooms are fun but nothing beats the good ole fashioned way.
P.S. did a little workshop on this but will have to post it tomorrow. No colour but some other adjustments.

I am agree with Jamie. I wish to see this car in colour. The engine must be just beautiful in chrome contrast.

Color might be nice, but I really enjoy this in B/W! Your use of depth of field is marvelous. B/W makes this a more artistic shot rather than just a candid color shot would. It might be nice to eliminate your shadow at the bottom, though.
