Hi Brian
This reminds me of the movie Independence Day when the shadow of the space ship fell over the street and buildings, so this sends a slight shiver down my spine as to what is actually causing the shadow. From a non alien paranoia based point of view, it's another beautiful play of light captured on a global icon. Really nicely done.
Cheers

Hello Brian,
Awesome composition. The dark blue, almost black sky, the golden lit part of the building and the shadow. Fantastic pattern of all the windows. How many of them, Difficult to guess. Superb

Ciao Brian
anche questa, pur conservando il colore è notevole sia per la composizione che per l'attento studio della luce.
Ottima la nitidezza.
Ciao. Buona serata e buona domenica

Hello Brian
I like this a lot. It's simple and graphic, and you've filled the frame with the building, leaving no room for any irrelevant distractions. Is that a polariser you've got on, or are you just pleased to see me?

Hello Brian,
A lower viewpoint on this iconic building. I like the light and shadow contrasts and the lovely warm tones from the sunlit areas. Perfect framing.

Hi Brian
Different feel than in the previous black and white upload but an equally beautiful image. The contrast really makes it for me.
Best wishes

Hi Brian
again...SF!
love this city.
ever been to a city and when you look back at your photos you think...man...i need to go back again because i just don't like the shots i got.
thats how i feel about SF...i need to go back for more photos.
in this one, i like how the sky is almost black, but of course its not. it has that rich dark royal blue tone to it.
and all those windows are pretty damn cool indeed.
excellent shadow and light play.
fun post
cheers

Hello Brian
Taking advantage of the low light to create abstract shapes and textures... well I was always going to like that!
Melbourne is covered in buildings like this characterised by repeated patterns... I'm overwhelmed by them. I'll post a few in due course...
Take care and have a good day!

Hello Brian,
Very different picture from your bluebell woods that I have just commented on! Great patterns, excellent black BG and lovely colour. The shadow area makes it even more interesting.
Excellent.
Kind Regards, Ann
