Photographer's Note

Founded as a military outpost in the late 1800s, many of the original buildings still stand around Old Town Square. In the 1980s, the idea to develop what is now Old Town Square took shape. The plan included developing a plaza for people to walk through and buildings for people to shop in, two stories with retail on the bottom, and offices on the top, which is what Old Town Square is today. At the southern end of Old Town Square is this flatiron building. Unfortunately, it is not one of the original military outpost buildings. It was built in 1984. However, I have a special affection for flatiron buildings, so it is the main entry today.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will be leaving for Turkey. This will be my last upload for about 2 weeks.
