Photographer's Note

The Snoqualmie River descends down the west slope of the Cascade Mountains as three separate forks. The separate forks merge just before the thundering Snoqualmie Falls (also in my gallery, see Snoqualmie Falls).

There are a series of smaller falls before the big one. This is one in the Twin Falls series on the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River. It is worth the 4 mile round trip, though you will face a few switchbacks. There is nothing to really provide scale, but the blue water is perhaps 90 feet (about 30 meters) below the camera's position.

Taken with a tripod-mounted Nikon D40x DSLR mid-day.
