Photographer's Note
Crater Lake National Park, Klamath County. Oregon
Vidae Falls is a fairly popular tourist stop because is just right along the roadside, no hiking necessary. Though most of the people are here to see the overwhelmingly beautiful Crater Lake, it is hard to notice the beauty of this little waterfalls on the side. I find it rather charming. I managed to find a spot with a good POV without people in it and some beautiful rocks and wildflowers in the foreground.

Way,
An extremely idylic looking shot - but as you explain, the road is right behind you - so this little idyl is both there and not there!
Still, you found a nice angle to show it off to its best.

Hello Way!
What a pleasant, lovely and truly beautiful picture!
Vertical format and pov were excellent choices here!
Sharpness, exposure and natural colors are very good too! The composition is outstanding! I love the colors of the flowers, the clear way I can see those rocks in the very foreground and the effect on the water of the cascade!
TFS - congratulations!
Best regards,

Way,
This is a nicely composed shot of the waterfall. The vertical format works well here accentuating the height of the falls wile allowing us close up detail. The long exposure creates a nice effect with the moving water. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and detail.

Hi Way,
Very nice, Way! I really like how you incorporated the foreground rocks and wildflowers to add life and interest in this shot. By the way, we plan to visit Crater lake in late August - any suggestions on where to go to maximize photo opportunities? Thanks for sharing. Gerald

Hi, Way,
There is much to like in this shot: attractive subject, elegant composition, crisp execution.
You have placed the cascade superbly in your frame, with favorable reflected light and a clear view to the top.
The flowers and the bright green vegetation stand out sharply against the gray rocks.
Clarity is very good throughout.
Well done!

Hi Way
Seeing by your photo, I see that there's lots of beautiful scenery in the USA and already I feel spoilt. Theses falls surrounded by such greenery and colourful flowers are so pretty. Excellent sharpness of the rocks contrasting with the movement of the water.

Nikki
P.S. Bye the way, I didn't get any photos of Zabriskie Point as it was raining at 50°C going past it and it would have meant an hour return drive from our hotel the next day (too hard to get up so early).

I have no idea how we missed these falls if they are by the road as we drove all the way round when we were there. You will have guessed by now that I love waterfalls with a slow shutter speed and these are wonderful. The pink flowers add a magnificent splash of added colour. Fantastic shot.

Hi Way,
Your work is well composed to frame the falls with the bright fireweed and the enough green to give the feeling of an enchanted forest. Just beautiful!!

Hello Way! What a beauty, such wonderful natural colors. The pink flowers are the dot on the "i", what an eye catcher but also the slow run of the water and how you froze it, making it smooth and soft, I really like that, wish I could do something similar but somehow I never get this far but big promise ... I try. Yes so many times the little things but also meaning we have to open our eyes and SEE it. This is very good work, excellent. Have a great day, bbq time here, the grill is going ... Barbara.

Hi Way,
Charm of that waterfall is on how it splits to numerous little streams. Wild flowers and rough rocks look great too. Careful vertical framing works well.

Your choice of shutter speed is excellent here, as we see the milky streams of the waterfall cascading down the rocks. Like the perspective & lead-in you created with the rocks from the FG, which allows our eyes to effortlessly 'climb' the cascades to the very top. And yes, love the pink flowers, which had been brilliant for your framing. Excellent!
Best Regards

Hello Way
Crater Lake & Painted Hills were 2 locations in Oregon, that I looked at, for my recent trip to the US, but had to rule out, due to bad weather / snow in November. Good sharpness & colour on the attractive waterfall. Tfs!

Indeed, this is a magnificent waterfall and you took a great composition in order to get the flowers & surrounding colors. The slow exposure is just gorgeous in showing the flow of water.

Hello Way
This is the essence of a romantic view!
Magic angel hairs falling from hill top through healty greenery to quench the thirst of pastel bouquets...A feast for the eyes!
Much depth is created by the view of rocks at foreground, opposed to the first flow of fall.
Thanks for your kind words.

Hello Way,
Great point of view creates a kind of line from the stones(foreground) to the waterfall(the main subject) and that creates a lovely depth in this picture.
As always the composition and light are great and the flowers are a nice "break" that brings extra colors in this picture.
Friendly regards and have a nice weekend,
Robert
