This is the road between Fossil and Mitchell Oregon. Near the Painted Hills in the John Day Fossil Beds area. It was around 6pm and it had been thundering earlier. I pulled off the road and took this since the sun cut through the clouds to the west.

Hello Scott

A great shot of what the west has to offer. The road heading into the mountains gives a clue of the destination ahead. Lots of layers of color as well as drama in the clouds. Nice capture.
