When we got to Jim Thorpe, there was a huge crowd at the train station waiting for a special steam engine train ride. These train rides are operated by Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway.

"In 1985, the Blue Mountain & Reading Railroad began running passenger trains over a short portion of track in Berks County, as well as occasional all-day excursions to various parts of the state. Over the course of the next 20 years, the Blue Mountain & Reading Railroad acquired more track and expanded its operations, with the purchase of the Shamokin Division of the former Reading Lines, the railroad became known as the Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad. In 2005, with the completion of a railroad bridge across the Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe, a new passenger train operation and sister company to the Reading & Northern Railroad, the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, was born. Starting August of 2020, the Reading & Northern Railroad began operations into the Lehigh Gorge State Park from the former Central Railroad of New Jersey station in historic downtown Jim Thorpe, PA on weekends, holidays, and select weekdays through December. The railroad also operates several special excursions throughout the year, powered by both steam and diesel engines. These trips include our annual Autumn Leaf Excursions from the Reading Outer Station, Port Clinton Station, and Tamaqua Station to Jim Thorpe and back, as well as a variety of rides in coordination with various organizations and communities along our rail lines." Hi Murat,
Great capture! The colors look so interesting, the pink train feels almost unrealistic but the people in natural colors confirm it is real. The vegetation in the distance is also well saturated.
Interesting angle with nice resulting geometry and also I like the smoke, as bad as it is for the environment it appears quite photogenic here diagonally floating away from the train.

It's a good composition with lots of colors and diagonals, fine depth and an impressive pillar of pollution. In the WS we see the engine and the smoke against a fine green background

Always intriguing sight, Murat, personally - I never saw a steam enging riding, only a museum piece.
The semi-rusty colors of the wagons contrast well with the surrounding.

Hello Murat,
A great photo of this old train, the pale red colours stand out well in front of the green trees and the blue sky. That plume of smoke adds a nice mix with the white clouds as well.

nice views of the old train. I presume it is a marvelous trip to the past, even being so short. nice the huge coal stone. I will attach the most special railway trip in my state, choose as one of the 10 better in the world.
