Photographer's Note
I went cherry picking last summer and noticed this little girl on the grass, may be tired, may be dreaming. I was so touched to see her that way, that I lay down beside her and looked at the sky! It was a great feeling, brought me my childhood days, took this shot from that position.
I want to dedicate this shot to my dear friend Isabela Sorescu who is great with kid portraits, and I feel that she does take such great shots because she is a child herself at heart!

What I really like in this shot is the extremely close up POV and the excellent definition all over the frame. For the colours, I believe they a bit over done and your attempt to saturate them created some strange effect on the girl’s face just below the eye. Otherwise it is a beautiful picture. Well done.

Hi Shaeri,
This definitely exudes a youthful charm.....the innocence of childhood....if you want to lie down in the grass to rest....or to gaze into the sky and dream of princesses....it's your right. If you want to dirty your lovely clean dress,,,,,well that's also ok........being a child with no worries or concerns....that's life. A great POV and a lovely image. Well done.
Cheers Grant

The age of innocence. Very nicely done. They say that getting down to the child's level is important in photographing children and you have certainly done that here. Good DOF and well exposed. My only comment technically is the ladder coming out of her forehead.

It is very touching to read your Note and the comment by isabela.
About this shot, a most unusual angle which is a good idea, and I like it very much.
What both of you sharing here, goes to show what is in the heart.

Hi Shaeri,
It didn't look much from the thumbnail, but what a surprise when I opened it!... It is so lovely and inspiring... It really pulls out the child we all have inside. The comment of Isabela is just perfect. It also reminds me of one of my favourites films (at least it was when I was young, it has been years since I saw it the last time): "Splendor in the grass", by Elia Kazan, with the lovely Nathalie Wood.
You chose the POV very well and arranged it graphically very nicely. I am amazed how you get this result with 22mm, I would expect that you had used a much wider angle. The light and colours are also great.
There is only a couple of picky details that could be better: the red lace (very) slightly out of focus and the ladder above her forehead.
TFS, Regards, José.

Hi Shaeri,
A child see things as they are ... it is worth an exercise to see things from a child's POV ... it helps us see the world better. Wonderfully captured and presented with good image quality. Well done! tfs

Hello Shaeri,
This is just amazing..the total feel of the shot is so very refreshing...the POV is absolutely unique and original..very very good colours and presentation..!!
Now,I have tried to give it a different perspective here thru a WS ..I have just changed the environment in the shot so the feel of this girl lying in the nature is given a more pristine feel...!! do let me know how you liked it..!!Its absolutely my perception..!!!

Hi Shaeri,
Very pretty photograph on this child who seems to benefit from the pleasant rays of the sun or to make a beautiful dream. I like much the visual angle and the natural colors of the image. It is a very pleasant image and… resting.

Hi, Shaeri. This is a truly wonderful picture. It illustrates perfectly the carefreeness of childhood. Seeing this little girl sound asleep in the grass in a fairytale surrounding really gives me that feeling. The re dotted hairpin and the pink bag (hat?) she's holding make her look like a cartoon character. The little we see of the landscape also contributes to give a universal character to your pic. Maybe there could be a bit more sharpness on her head, but for the rest it is a real jewel.

Hi Shaeri. Losing my vocabulary to document my reaction on this marvel shot. Incredible. Each of us at any age does possess three traits -- of a child, of an adult and of a parent. You did demonstrate that so beautifully with your shot and the note.Regards.

Hi Shaeri,
Fabulous shot!!!!I missed it and I regret that. This is a real stunner. Great POV. I love children ( both in pictures and real life :-). This is a treat to see. Your efforts to get this shot by lying down beside her has paid off.
This is a different but very good shot from you!! I wish I could be a child again. She looks so relaxed and contended with life. Poor girl, she will grow up one day.

Hi Shaeri,
I'll make this easy for myself:-) I agree with all the above, the little critiques like the ladder above her forehead which you could have deleted. This is marvellous. All the magic of infancy, its relation to the joys of nature, the freshness, the spontaneity, enjoying the moment, here on this picture. Great pov, very creative, full of emotion, great work ! I love it.

Namaste Shaeri. Shades of Peter Pan in this shot of flight- at least the flight of imagination. The soft earth as the pillow and the limitless space a place to dream. Lovely PoV. Sweet shot of childhood and harmony with the universe. Regards. Klaudio.

This worm's eye view works great for children's photographs. The wide angle lens, while exaggerating the perspective, has given a dynamic feel to the picture. Very well done.
