A local speed sign that someone obviously objects to!!! I have seen these before, but never so "blown away". I had to take this pic before it was replaced.... and I would have said "Doh!!!"

Good shot (double meaning..). That's a kind of a wild sport! I'm glad you stood at the correct side of the sign. I like the tight cropping. The bullet holes make very nice shape. They're quite new, I can't tell, because there's no rust..

I absolutly detest guns and their usage however I like your capture simply because it's good. I like the colors and how they work together. I also like all the circles the red circle filled by white and the circular nature of the numbers not to mention the round holes formed by the shots. I'm glad you took it before it was replaced.

La photo est tr鑣 bien prisede par ces details, ca me rappelle ceratin panneau que l'on peu voir en Corse.

A chaque fois que je vois ca , je me pose cette question: Ou passeraient-ils leur haine si il ne tiraient pas sur ces panneaux ?

May be you should add "don抰 try this at home" ;-)
A new sign would be like a red rag before a bull - perhaps they simply leaves the sign this way for a long time - I guess this one made of aluminium - explaining the lack of rust.

For me this is quit scarry. We don't see this in Sweden. At least not where i live. But, it's well seen and well captured of you. Just as you say, this sign has been real blown away. Not much left of it.

I hope this is a bit outback. We have the same problems in our outbacks, traffic sign are just too brightly colored I guess. I visited a local road maintenance yard up north once and behind the garage it was a hughe pile of signs with bullet holes in them.

The other problem we have is that tourist steal our elk warning sign as souvernirs.
