Photographer's Note
These are the Remarkable Rocks (yes, they're really called that). They sit on an exposed rocky outcrop overlooking the ocean. Over millions of years the effects of erosion have created the bizarre shapes you see here.
Another remarkable thing is my new toy. I've just taken delivery of a new negative scanner to make life easier archiving some of my old pictures. It has a great feature to remove the blemishes on the film. If you haven't come across this before, check out the workshop.

I like teh rusty colors and textures very much, Jonathan. The shapes are dynamic and interesting. I also liek the color of the frame, which compliments this nice shot.

Great Rocks and superb colours and excellent exposure control as always from your pictures.
My pictures taken prior to last year were all slides and have been scanned in using a Minolta 5400 Dimage scanner which is excellent for quality scans.
Congratulation on reaching 1000

Bonjour Jonathan,

Hey Jonathon,
have to say i thoroughly enjoyed your portfolio, you have some excellent images from a lot of places I'd love to visit. This shot is quite close to home, although i've never been here. Great tones, I love the red against the blue sky. A slightly wider angle showing more of the landscape could be good here. cheers brendan

These truly are remarkable rocks, Jonathan, and an excellent scan. Exposure and contrast is very good. It is a pity that you don't have something in the frame to give them scale though. Cheers . . . David
