Something a little different today to celebrate my 100th post and my 25th photographed country. There's plenty more to come!
This scary guy is a Maori and was a performer at a traditional concert. It was held in the "Maori Village" at Te Whakarewarewa. His facial expression is that used to scare off the enemy.

Hi Jonathan,
Pretty scary indeed :). This is a situation where the flash does a good job (in general I'm opposed to using flash), it definitely makes him more scary. I like how his teeth and eyes are totally white.
Btw, what's that hanging around his neck?

Very scary indeed. Lovely shot with good use of flash, and strong whites (look at those eye balls). I like it very much
