Photographer's Note

The Coromandel Peninsula is famous for its clean beaches and spectacular vistas.Snorkelling and diving are popular in the many marine reserves. The town of Hahei is the nearest township to the world famous Cathedral Cove, where I took this photo.I am sure that the Maoris have a name for this stack as many such beautiful places are connected with myths and historical events in Maori lore.

Thanks to Matt I can report that it is caled Te Hoho. Now we only need to find out the meaning.
