Laguna Colorada, a photo from Potosi, South

Photographer's Note

Laguna Colorada, in Southwestern Bolivia. Back to a fantastic place where I would like to go back again sometimes. An amazing lake, which changes color from red, to browm to pink, to purple, to orange, depending on the weather and light.
Flamingoes and volcanoes around make the rest.
Here in the evening sunrays were filtering through the mist between the mountains.

The picture is a scan from the glorious Velvia 50, a film which already had any possible photoshop trick in it.

Hi Stefano,

Tremendous layers of color and texture .. beautiful vastness .. powerful and gentle nature .. bit of noise but it is hard to tell where texture and noise separate. wondrous effect .. fantastic place as you point out.

Paesaggio e luce incredibili! Mi piacciono molto le zone ombrate in dominante bluastra! Bella la lingua d'acqua in rosa con i fenicotteri. Ottimo lavoro!

Hi Stefano,
Beautiful landscape with such wonderful and grand view of the landscape. I love the multi layers of elements you captured here. Even with such hazy day, I like the blue layer of misty air that hangs in the valley between the mountains. There are still some nice details and texture in the shadow. Really good work here. I like it very much.
