Photographer's Note

I took a taxi In Trindade and soon I was in the central part of Goi鈔ia city, the new capital of Goi醩 State.
It was the lunch hour and I found two restaurants near the place where I was, this one was a popular place working in "Self-Service" way, this is my preferred system, because I can choose what I want to eat and pay the food in the scale. Anyway there was extra precautions in the restaurant because the Covid-19 with gloves, etc.
Check my plate ! Of course this is a mix of things. In the base you can see the typical Brazilian rice and beans, you can see a meat ball at righ, a crackling at left, some few Italian gnocchi and a salad near of it and some slices of roasted bovine meat, that wasn't so nice in my opinion.
Can you see that yellow sauce in the lower part of the image ? It was a small portion of a typical food of Goi醩. In central Brazil there is a native tree named PEQUI, its fruits have a rounded seed filled with very small thorns and when cooked it gives a special flavor to the rice and meat. You should be very careful while tasting the seed in the mouth, because the micro-thorns. The flavor is something strong and it is one of those foods you should be adapted to enjoy. At first time I didn't like.
I presume our friend Luciano will be bewitched and horrified at same time while checking my plate.

Tomei um taxi em Trindade e logo estava no centro de Goi鈔ia, a capital de Goi醩.
Era hora do almo鏾 e nas imedia珲es encontrei dois restaurantes e um deles era mais popular e no sistema "Self-Service", que eu aprecio.
No prato vemos aquela mistura de tudo com arroz, feij鉶, alm鬾degas, torresmo, pedacinhos de churrasco, salada, nhoqui.. Reparem naquele molho amarelo na parte inferior da imagem, um molho de pequi. O pequizeiro uma 醨vore t韕ica do cerrado e dentro dele est鉶 grandes sementes redondas que quando cozinhadas com arroz e frango libertam um sabor especial, sendo a comida t韕ica de Goi醩. As sementes tem micro-espinhos que podem ser perigosas se mordidas. Coloquei um pouco do molho para experimentar, mas o sabor bem forte, um daqueles alimentos novos que demoram um pouco a serem assimilados pelo nosso paladar.
