Still on the same piece of trunk, this chalk-browed mockingbird (Mimus saturninus) also came for breakfast. A little larger than the previous species, it has a remarkable vocalization for the mastery with which it imitates the songs and calls of other birds.

Hello Alexandre,
You managed another very good photo in a perfect light and with the same dark green blurred background that seems to make the birds come so close to us. This bird has a more discreet plumage than most of the earlier ones, but the sharpness and its position makes it look just as beautiful.

Although this mockingbird looks less colourful than its predecessors, it is a more famous bird that is also known from the literature (To Kill a Mockingbird) as in music (Eminem)

Hello Alexandre,

With a name like 'mocking bird', I suspected that it was renown for imitating the sounds of other things; as your notes inform, the songs of other birds. It must be very confusing for the birds that it imitates!
Again, your excellent use of shallow dof, captures the bird and its perch, with wonderful clarity, against a fine bokeh. This bird looks slimmer and more elegant than some of the other birds!

this must be quite the feast for a little bird like that.
In the note you mentioned how this bird imitates other songs of other birds...I wonder what the purpose of that is? You'd think it would have its own call, its own sound, not needing to copy others..interesting. Not as colourful as the other birds you have posted, but another sharp and well executed photo for sure. cheers

Hello Alexandre, another super sharp shot of the bird feeding station; all the birds seem to enjoy the fruit!
On my screen the Mockingbird stands out very clearly, quite 3D, especially against the beautiful dark green blurred background.
I like that we can see some of the fruit in its' beak.

Estoy sorprendido por el fant醩tico punto de observacion, donde parece que los diferentes pajaros iban pasando para que tu los fotografiases, una variedad muy diferente a los otros con menos colorido, pero con una bonita mezcla en tonos marron y crema.
Muy agradable colorido, que junto con la buena nitidez y 髉tima iluminaci髇, da gran calidad a la imagen.

The bird is a bit less colourful than the others you've presented but it still looks very cute.
The provided eating place really attracted a lot of different birds.
Excellent quality picture, perfect sharpness and a splendid view of the bird from nearby.
