Photographer's Note

Society in divided in many different groups and inside Catholic faith isn't different. During the 1960's many priests believed that Jesus had a similar role as a leftist terrorist like Guevara, this idea was taught in the churches and many people abandoned the catholicism in Brazil because the political use of the faith, watching priests invading private properties or praying revolutions with guns.
At same time during the military dictatorship in Brazil a group of religious created a extreme-right society named TFP, that was against the modifications created by the Pope John XXIII, they wanted the Catholicism came back to the traditions of medieval times.
When the military government was gone this religious group lost steam but in these last years they got a new name and are going up again, this time against the Pope Francis ideas.
Here we can see a religious of this group walking by my city, hunting donations, usually the Catholic priests don't like them because they are seen as rebels.
As you can see, modern society is divided in many faces, the last elections in Chile where the society was divided, half to half in extreme left and extreme right is a symbol of our 2021, we can see the same in Brazil or in USA.

Hi Jorge,a very interesting topic, religion is very popular in your country, I remember seeing many cars with Christian symbols and representing different sects and currents of thought. Hi Jorge,

In my province, the catholic church was in control of the population for many years. This started to change from 1960 till today. There are less persons present in the churches. Also now in Canada ther are many different faiths. There are extremist persons on each side. The point of view is showing the details of the clothings of the religious man. Have a nice day.

Hi Jorge,
The advantage of the uniform is that you know from a distance whether you want to avoid this person... I don't think we have this type of organization in Poland. However I was quite surprised when I was last time in my hoimetown in Poland to see several alternative little temples created in the town centre. Maybe people have enough of the corrupt clergy indeed and they search for alternatives.

Hello Jorge,

The guy has a striking outfit. Rebel but wears a mask.
Polish society is also deeply divided, sometimes even in families or in groups of friends. There are some extreme-right groups (like Ordo Iuris) who want to dictate their rules to the rest. According to 2015 demographics, 92.9% of Poland's population is Roman Catholic. But I do not believe it is true. We have had recently the general census. I am curious about the results.
