Photographer's Note
This is another old photo I took with my first camera,a KODAK. I am not sure about the year, I guess I took this image in 1975 or so, it is my best image of those days.
You can recognize the Monument to Three Powers of Republic, the only I know in the whole world, and I saw many monuments yet. Unfortunately not so much people give importance to it.
It is a modernist piece that was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Borrazópolis independence. There were bronze placards with information, but they were removed, lost and probably sold like trash.
The axis of the 1992 tornado passed from it and when the square was restored the monument was vandalized and transformed in an ugly fountain, it was restored many years after, but the original white color was changed and it lost the stairs too, at same time big palm trees were planted around it, something that made it to lost its imposing shapes. In the BG you can see the orange timber house, where one of the most famous priests lived, now it is a valuable half-empty lot.

Luis.

Hello Jorge,
Old pictures say sometimes more or them think, we see the background remains a little bit blur.
Lovely photo pleasant to look at.
Very well done, TFS.

Hi Jorge,
One of the reasons I think TE is so valuable is the chance also to travel in time. I think it would be so pity to se this website to die, but it seem inevitable.
The old photos certainly have lower quality now but there is so much history and sentiment in them.
Ironically presence of people dressed in old fashion clothes or cars which have changed so much as well, it all positions a picture in time. I suppose face masks are a sign of present days, ha ha, not in this photo yet :)

hello Jorge,
look at your points today: 111111. In a binary system, it means 63.
I remember this monument from your photos. Interesting history. I wonder what was the ladder for? Probably araucaria behind the sitting people. A nice memory of the past.
Best regrads MAlgo
