Supermoon eclipse, a photo from Minas Gerais, Southeast

Photographer's Note

Last Sunday I arranged with a friend to photograph the Supermoon eclipse and how far was the place we lost the moon rise and returned home. Around 11:00 PM another friend called us to see the Supermoon and I was already at home. I decided to pick up the tripod and go to my backyard with my son. I was not happy with the 18-135mm lens images from my D40 but managed to get this with Carl Zeiss Sony DSC-H3. It was not great but we were satisfied. I hope you enjoy.

Que beleza essa lua! Eu tava doido pra fazer uma foto dessa tamb閙, mas como ainda n鉶 tenho uma boa lente pra isso, ficou pra pr髕ima... As cores est鉶 muito bonitas, e a nitidez muito boa! Excelente trabalho!

Hello Ricardo,

It's a really hard to achieve picture. I also tried it, and I know it is really hard. I like to see the diferent pictures of this eclipse as their owners did in their diferent countries. This one makes me smile because here in Spain (in the north hemisphere) the eclipse starts and ends by the left side of the moon...

I like the light contrast you get in the picture, it's not an easy take. Well done and thanks for sharing...

Very good catch but my picture is not very good because there was too much noise at 2000 ISO
