Esta antiga locomotiva " Baldwin" fabricada nos Estados Unidos no final do século XIX, percorre os 12 Kms que ligam Sao Joao del rey a Tiradentes em aproximadamente 35 minutos. Durante o seu percurso, avistamos a serra de São Jose que forma um bonito recorte no ceu muito azul da região. Ao chegar ao seu destino, Tiradentes, a mesma locomotiva é usada para o percurso de volta e precisa ser manobrada para apontar para a direcao de Sao Joao del Rey. Esta manobra é feita pelo pessoal da ferrovia e conta também com a preciosa 'ajuda' dos turistas.

This old locomotive " Baldwin", manufactured in the United States by the end of century XIX, covers the 12 Kms that links Sao Joao del Rey to Tiradentes in approx 35 minutes. During its passage, we sight the mountain range of Sao Jose that forms a pretty contrast with the deep blue sky of the region. When arriving at its destination, Tiradentes, the same locomotive is used to return and needs to be maneuvered to the direction of Sao Joao del Rey. This maneuver is made by the staff of the railroad and also counts on with the precious 'aid ' from the tourists.
