this photo is a registry of the ancient architecture!

I took this photo in a small city who's call Paraty and is locate in "Rio de Janeiro" state.
It's foundation begins in 1600 and since was a harbor to transport gold from (Minas Gerais) (another state) to the center of Rio de Janeiro by sea. In the sea there was the real danger of the pirates that intercept them. When was created a new way to Rio by road to avoid the pirates, the city lost power and became decadent.
In the years of the 17 century Paraty became to cultivate the sugar cane to produce sugar and a alcoholic drink called "pinga" and now produce a great Pinga there. ;)
In the middle of the 17 century there was about 400 houses in the village that was basically designed by the freemasonry (maçonaria); that's why the corners of the houses made of stone and the geometric design on the houses faces had a significant and symbolic importance.
The city is a beautiful model of the ancient days.
This shot was took with the care of show part of this time passed, in this case the hand made paintwork roof of porcelain.
