Photographer's Note

After riding my bike from Astrakhan to Kamishin towards north along the right bank of the Volga River, I turned to west and rode along the 50th parallel north to my city of Kharkiv, crossing the parallel ten times. The second crossing was at this farm near the hamlet of Popov in the Kumylzhenskiy District of Volgograd Oblast.

at first I thought this image was amusing but then realized that the machine must mean a lot to the people who made a monument for it, that it must have made a big difference in their lives. I like the place you gave it in your composition, at the side and in the foreground, while at a distance we can have a view of the farm and the tractors still in use. Sharpness and clarity are superb and I love the management of the strong light that sets off the farm and its colours against the heavy grey sky. Congratulations and thank you!
