Photographer's Note

In the city of Rossosh, an administrative centre of Rossoshanskiy District in Voronezh Oblast of Russia, the church of Prophet Iliya was built near the old church of Alexander Nevskiy in 2006 according to a project of architects P. V. Dudin and V. M. Zakharov The space under the church is 1260 m�, its height is more than 30 m.

Nice new church but traditional orthodox architecture. I like the golden domes. Pleasant symmetrical composition. Nice view .

this is a very impressive church in the traditional religious architecture but it somehow looks modern too. I like very much your point of view that shows the church's great height next to several points of reference and scale. The sense of depth is superb and the volume of the church pops up against the smooth sky. You've managed the strong light and the chromatic differences very aptly reataining a great tonal range as well as the splendor of the bright tones and the shine of the golden domes.
