This place is my favorite place: Balea Lake chalet
here winter starts from october until may :)
sometimes in summer time i can find snow too :)
during my last trip there , i noticed the snow was 1.7 meter high :) and strong wind
there is a glacier lake situated at 2,034 m of altitude in the Făgăraș Mountains, in central Romania, in C鈘țișoara, Sibiu County. There are two chalets opened all the year round, a meteorological station and a mountain rescue (Salvamont) station. It is accessible by car on the Transfăgărășan road during the summer, and the rest of the year by a cable car from the "B鈒ea Cascadă" chalet.

Hello Isabela,
Wonderful how the chalet and the people find themselves almost floating in a complete white world.
I wonder what the effect would be if the rock face at left and at right wouldn't be visible at all. On the other hand these two small elements might just be extremely important for the special effect of your picture.

"...winter starts from october until may" Is it the South Europa, right? Hmm, amazing climate, just no words.
Very impressive scene of the snowy storm. As you know it is not exotic event for me, but I live in Ural ;)
