Photographer's Note
One more artwork made for the event. This is one of my favourites, made by a Brazilian artist I admire a lot - Vespa.
This is just one of many murals that have been painted in "Quinta do Mocho", a quarter usually considered as complicated and unsafe. In order to achieve the social integration and bring visitors, a festival of urban art is taking place - the walls of the buildings are being painted with huge graffiti, made by some of the best Portuguese graffiters and also by some foreigners.
It was my first visit to this quarter and I really liked it. The people I talked to were very nice and the works are simply magnificent.

Hello Ana,
What a giant mural!
At first sight I had the impression that this was a collage of two pictures.
Pin sharp presentation.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Ana,
I really like this one, too. You included a bit more of the building, such as the balconies, and it works well. The small pots are also a nice detail. The artists involved in this project are very talented, and you are presenting them perfectly.

Hello Ana,
It is indeed pleasant to see that talented artists are using these murals in lieu of ugly graffiti. This is a real jewel of artistry and you have done a fine job of capturing this photo. I am amazed at the size of this venture and I can well imagine that this was very time consuming to create.
Fine work Regards, Roger

I like the juxtaposition of the shabby-looking apartment block and the wonderfully detailed street art Ana. The division of the frame is well balanced and the crisp rendition of the painting very good.
Warm regards

Hello Ana,
It remain very difficult to give a reply on TE the last week.
We see a giant painting with very big hands and tongue.
Also the front of the building makes your picture attractive.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.
Composition and presentation are very well, TFS.
Have a nice day,

Hello Ana,
Another piece of fabulous graffiti. Just imagine being greeted by this friendly face every time you return home after a boring day at work. The flowerpots and the laundry are nice complements from the realities of daily life.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Ana,
This is magnificent and so huge too! I love how you allows half the frame for the building to give scale to this huge work, it rally gives a fantastic appreciation for the size. You put this picture together perfectly, I would guess this artist would be very pleased to see your photo.
Best wishes

Hello Ana,
It seems the urban art festival has transformed these poor quarters into open-air art galleries. This mural is a real gem of urban artwork. The painting is so realistic that you might think it's a photograph. I like the expression of joy on the girl's face and the way she cupped her hands round her mouth as to call people "Don't be afraid, come and meet us !". The nearby building puts the artwork into perfect context. Very good work.
Regards,
Jean

Hello Ana,
what a vivid and captivating portrait, it exudes emotion that is up to the viewer to interpret. I like very much how you divided your frame between this irresistible portrait and the plain urban setting, the interaction is suggestive and haunting. Definition and colour rendering are marvellous, making your picture an artwork as well. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania
