These spires with intricate sculptures (that tell stories from the Hindu mythologies)is part of Kapaleeswarar(a form of Shiva)in Mylapore, Chennai, India. Such spires are characteristic of South Indian temple architecture, While the temple dates back to the 7th century, the structures seen here were constructed in the 1400-1500 AD.
