Guess I got spotted

Photographed this street vendor who was busily chatting away somewhere in a small alley in Kashgar. I was attracted by the golden freshly baked small doughy breads and the arrangement on that cart, the old weather beaten wall and the green door. In some ways it's a typical scene in the old quarter which somewhat gives the feeling of an old time rustic feel.....

Managed to take a few shots from some distant, nothing much else to say about it...

and Nothing fancy I guess

Setting: 110 mm, 1/125 sec, F9, ISO Raw 100, 0710 hrs

Hi Abmdsudi,welcome back with this very nice scene of daily life from your archive. Reminds me a bit what i seen in Uzbekistan,the faces are very similar,while the bread form is different. Welcome back after a short absence; always delightful to see your street pictures. This one is no exception - perfectly framed and very well realised. The pile of bread rolls look delicious but I am not sure about the expression on the man's face.

A very good photo of this bread stall, the composition is very nicely cropped. Apart from the many bread rolls, you also captured the two men chatting very well, which adds a nice daily life mood. The green door also provided a good backdrop.

Iconic shot, I knew it was Kashgar by just looking at the thumbnail, my memories still fresh two years after my trip. I wonder how long this atmosphere, in what is more and more China, will last.
Brilliantly captured street scene, the tones and composition are truly great.

Old cart is quite picturesque, and all that bread looks tasty. Indeed a decisive moment. The seller just recognized you in the middle of discussion. The man in white and the green door catch attention in the background.

Reading your title, the first thing that hit my mind was the song of the Beatles: I'm the egg man (I'm the walrus). Nevertheless, its a nice shot. I particularly like how the breads highlighted compared to the dull surroundings.

I feel also that you were spotted, maybe because you were crouching to be at his level, nevertheless the scene is good, the 2 other persons are occupied, the brightness of the breads on display seem to irradiate in this shadowy alley

Hello Abmdsudi, a fascinating study of street life, with the rather disapproving expression of the seated man.
A well balanced composition, I like the silhouette of the standing man outlined against the green door.

oh man, this is awesome. When I go to Vietnam in March, I hope to capture shots just like this. Look at the cart with the large wheels, the green door, and just the overall scene of the two men talking away. fantastic street capture. cheers

amazing the beauty of this compo, telling much about the people and the place. lovely colors; there is a part of the compo like in B&W while the colors are so evident in the other part. personages so well positioned in the scenery. congratulations.
