Photographer's Note

Meissen - a district town in the south-east of Germany, in the federal state of Saxony, in the administrative district of Dresden, the seat of the district Meissen. It lies by the Elbe river, approx. 26 km from Dresden.
Meissen is famous for the production of wine and Meissen porcelain.

Castle Hill:

Cathedral of St. John and Saint Donata from the 13th century
Albrechtsburg Castle from the 15th century - the first seat of the Royal Polish and Electro-Saxon Porcelain Manufactories
Bishop's Castle from 1476-1518 (rebuilt in 1912)
