Photographer's Note
New high tides at the end of March and a coefficient of 113!
Here a double view, low tide and high tide in the bay of Royan.
A low tide at midday and the water recedes and reveals the rocky plateau.
A high tide in the late afternoon with the waves breaking on the cliffs while covering the
sand.

Bonjour Jean,
L'étendue de la baie donne de la profondeur à la composition. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des rochers et du carrelet. La lumière met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Hello Jean,
An interesting study!
The scale is much bigger than I first thought. The fishing hut helped with that.
You have been amazing in your ability to choose exactly the same spot for each photograph, so that we get an exact comparison!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Two excellent photos showing the same place at low and high tide. The two rocks are nicely placed in the foreground along with the small fishing hut.

Bonjour Jean, what a difference an hour or two makes, and you have illustrated this extremely well by presenting these two pictures.
Taken from exactly the same viewpoint it gives an accurate idea of how the tide changes the view.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Bonjour Jean,
Deux photos très intéressantes du même endroit, mais si différentes.
La cabane de pêche sur pilotis nous donne une bonne idée de la taille des rochers dans l'eau et en fait de l'échelle de toute la zone.
Amitiés, Paul

Hi Jean
Another good time separated pair of photos.
One thing intrigues we. Just what is a coefficient of 113? It isn't a term that I've ever seen used here in Australia.
cheers

High tide / low tide beautifully shown its differences, Jean.
Almost possible to cross the bay on low tide, just get a little wet...
Bon dimanche,

Wonderful pair of shots showing this same location on different tides. Looking just the rocks it would be hard to estimate the difference of water levels. But stilts of that cabin make it easier.

Bonjour Jean,
great illustration of this extraordinary phenomenon.
The two rocks make great markers which help us to better position within the scene.
Fantastic idea and great execution,

Hello Jean,
I like the view with the high tide better. The low tide exposes "yucky" looking sea floor.

MT
