Situated 10 kilometers far from Kalyviani, at the North and over 58 Kilometers from Chania, at the north side of Gramvousa Peninsula, Balos Lagoon is one of the best beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.

Hello Janusz,
I haven't been here but I have seen this enchanting view many times and occasionally considered going there. You were lucky to be there at the end of the season. I think a few weeks earlier it would have been very crowded, and a photo would have been less interesting. Now we can enjoy the sand, shallow water and the beautiful colours without interference of tourists.

Hello Janusz,
A great view of this wonderful island, I really like its round shape. The green and brown tones of the land make a wonderful contrast with the deep blue water, just as the sandy parts. Well captured from here.

An unusual beach setting with that almost an island headland the other side of the beach and lagoon. Great photo with superb water colours.

A lovely beach scene with the waves come together as white foam.
The island cares for nice contrast against blue water of the sea.
Also the rock in foreground makes your picture attractive.
