View from Raczkowa Czuba, a photo from Zilinsky, Central

Photographer's Note

Raczkowa Czuba or Jakubina - a peak with a height of 2194 m above sea level. in the Otargańce massif in the Slovak Western Tatras. It is the highest peak in Otargańce and the second highest peak in the Western Tatras. Its western slopes fall to the Jamnicka Valley, eastern slopes to the Raczkowa Valley with Raczkowe Ponds . The peak rises about 500–700 m above these valleys. In winter, huge avalanches, one of the largest in the Tatra Mountains, slide down the rocky and grassy slopes not covered with dwarf mountain pine.

During the 31 km lonely hike to Raczk體 czuba, I did not meet any people.

Hi Janusz,

This is a well composed photo with a good view of the mountains. I like the green lichen in the foreground and the pattern of snow patches on the slopes.
