For our sixth major trip in China we focussed on southern Gansu and the areas bordering it, i.e. eastern Qinghai and southern Ningxia.

At the beginning/end of the Silk Road, it's an area of historical exchange and mixed cultures with lots of muslims (both Hui and others) and lots of Tibetans.
