Peyrolles ridge, Saint-Chaffrey, Hautes-Alpes.
Dominating the valley of Guisane (Serre Chevalier), the GR 5c (variant of the famous GR5 which crosses the French Alps from north to south) offers superb views of the peaks of the Ecrins and Clar閑. With few exceptions, the path follows the ridge of Peyrolles.
Despite one or two slightly technical sections that need to lay hands on the ground, the path is fairly accessible. Several secondary trails permit access to various points, allowing to adjust its course according to ones physical condition.
In WS, a view of the Clar閑 side, with, at the right, the ski resort of Montgen鑦re. In addition, summits are already Italians.
